John F. Kennedy was the 35th President, elected in 1960, after Eisenhower's terms. Kennedy was the youngest President, and also the first and only Catholic President. There are a few theories on how he was really killed, and why. The US government supported the findings of Warren the Commission Report, and many people believe that the government was not telling the complete truth. One theory is that the assassination was linked to the Cuban Missile Crisis. Cuba allied with Russia, and became communist. The Bay of Pigs, was a failed invasion between by the CIA, allied with the Cuban mob. It failed because the US did not provide the air support they promised. This decision by JFK made the CIA, angry because it made them look bad, as well as the Mob because they could no longer regain Cuba. In my opinion, the Bay of Pigs, and the Cuban Missile Crisis was linked to the JFK assassination, because both the CIA, and the Cuban Mob were very upset with his decision to pull out the air support during the attack.
did the Bay of Pigs or Cuban Missile Crisis have anything to do with the Kennedy assassination?1/28/2015

Even after the attempts to stop the spread of communism in the late 1940's, it still remained a problem for the US in the 1950's. In the 1952 Dwight D. Eisenhower was elected president, replacing Harry Truman. When elected he made a promise to end the Korean War, and wanted to continue to stop the spread of communism. To do this he introduced the Eisenhower Doctrine, during one of his speeches, which aimed to stop the spread of communism. Along with this, he introduced the Doctrine of Containment around the world. This included OAS, ANZUS, SEATO, and CENTO. Even with the large role the US played in attempting to stop the spread of communism, many people in America still feared a communist revolution, which lead to McCarthyism.
In the 1940's, US feared a worldwide communist revolution, and took action from 1945-1950 in an attempt to stop the spread from country to country. During this time, there were two plans introduced, the Truman Doctrine, and the Marshal plan. The Truman Doctrine was introduced by US President at the time Harry Truman. In this plan, the US would pledge money to a country, as well as provide military, and political support to prevent the spread of communism in such countries. The Marshall plan, was another attempt to halt the spread of communism in Europe. This plan introduced by George C. Marshall, aimed to rebuild western Europe. The US would do this by giving six nations economic support to be handed out for 4 years. This plan was aimed at countries who were struggling to recover from the war, and needed economic aid. The two plans that were introduced were similar but had their individual role to prevent the spread of communism in Europe.
