Summary: After the Nazi-Soviet Non-Aggression Pact was singed, Germany breaks the deal and sends military troops along a 2000 mile long front to attack Russia. Russian peasants react by using the scorched earth policy, and burns all the crops, and shelters. Although this and the harsh winter slowed them down, the Nazis still Captured Kiev, besieged Leningrad, and took almost 2 million Red army troops as prisoners.
