- The National Security Council - advises President of matters concerning defense
- The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) - espionage and intelligence collection
Summary: As a response to Cold War concerns, the US Government created groups including the Department of Defense, The National Security Council, and the Central Intelligence Agency.
Subjective question: If these groups were not created, what would be the outcome of the Cold War? Was there more conflict created with groups such as the CIA?
